Health Screens

Regular health checks are important and we believe that prevention is better than cure.

For healthy people, a health check provides valuable reassurance. Sometimes you may be worried about a hidden illness, and for these our health screening service can catch it before lasting damage is done. In fact, over half our patients benefit from some intervention to improve their health even if it is only advice on diet, exercise and work/life balance.

Here at Dr Kelly's, we offer health checks in our well-equipped private clinics in the heart of The City of London, where our superb on-site centre for testing and diagnosis can offer prompt results.

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is the UK’s biggest killer, causing around 82,000 deaths each year. About one in five men and one in eight women die from the disease. Regular check-ups are key in identifying Heart Disease early on and preventing future complications.

Things That Can Increase Your Risk Of Heart Disease Include

  • Men age 45+

  • Post-menopausal women

  • High levels of stress

  • Family history of coronary artery disease

  • Smokers (who have 2-4 times more risk than non-smokers)

  • Poor diet

  • High levels of salt intake

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure.

  • High levels of low-density lipoproteins (LDLs), “bad” cholesterol

  • Diabetes

  • Obesity

  • Excessive alcohol (more than 1-2 drinks a day)

  • Drug abuse

  • Lack of exercise

Most patients find out that they have heart disease when it is quite advanced. This is due to lack of understanding about how heart disease develops.

Lasting 30 minutes, our Healthy Heart Screen is designed to give you a baseline of your heart and cardiovascular system, helping to identify areas for improvement and possibly prevent complications.

Our Healthy Heart Screening Includes

  • Lifestyle Discussion & Advice

  • Height, Weight & BMI Measurement

  • Blood & Blood Pressure Test

  • Urine Test

  • Resting ECG
